2. Scope
These privacy notices apply to the free public guest Wi-Fi provided to visitors at Panorama LUTHER 1517 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. The guest Wi-Fi and the WITTENBERG360 audio guide are separate services.
3. Technical connection data
To establish and operate the Wi-Fi connection, technically necessary network data are processed. Depending on the device and network configuration, this can include in particular a device or MAC address, an IP address assigned in the guest network, connection status and technical connection times. These data are required to establish, route, secure and terminate the network connection and to troubleshoot technical faults or misuse.
No registration with name or e-mail address is required for the guest Wi-Fi. We do not use the guest Wi-Fi to create visitor profiles or to analyse the content of communications.
4. Purpose and legal basis
The processing serves to provide and secure the guest Wi-Fi, maintain network and IT security, prevent or investigate technical faults and protect the infrastructure against misuse. To the extent the GDPR applies to individual processing operations, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are the secure and reliable operation of the guest network and protection of our technical systems.
The confidentiality of communications and the applicable telecommunications data-protection rules are respected. Communication content is not inspected beyond what is technically necessary or legally permitted for providing and securing the service.
5. FRITZ!Box / local network infrastructure
The guest network is provided through our local network infrastructure using an AVM FRITZ!Box. Technical device and connection information may be visible in the router administration for operation and troubleshooting. Access to the router administration is restricted to authorised personnel.
6. Internet providers and websites
When using the internet, data are transmitted through our internet provider and to the websites or online services you access. Those providers process data under their own responsibility and privacy notices. We do not control the data processing of third-party websites or services merely because they are accessed through our guest Wi-Fi.
7. Storage
Technical network information is retained only for as long as necessary for the current connection, operation, security and troubleshooting, or where statutory obligations require longer retention. We do not maintain a separate visitor database for the guest Wi-Fi.
8. Your rights
Where the GDPR applies and the statutory requirements are met, you have in particular the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR.
9. Right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes data-protection law.
